The atmosphere and artwork is fantastic, the music is great, the card animations are mindblowing. There's a good progression system, and there's always something to do.
Yet despite all of that, the current Gwent cardgame itself is just not that fun. I really want to like it more than I do for all the above reasons, but it gets boring quickly.
It is a free-to-play game, so if you have gambling addiction, then stay away from it. Also the game is quite mediocre, and it feels as cdpr are more interested in selling cards than having a good card game.
Here is my story, hopefully others can avoid this: I ended up spending over euro on this, so I could own every premium card best card quality.
They even manipulated me. You see you have a collection with the cards that you own. Yet in the agreement that no one reads, they own everything in the game and can take everything away from you.
So I spent a lot money and time to get full collection and got it, Then there was an update, and all collections got reset, with players receiving scraps you craft cards with scraps.
I was not happy with the changes, and decided to take a 2month break. When I return they had made an economy change, where powder is required to craft premium cards and cdpr gave me scraps for my premium collection, WP!!!
Clever way to devalue my collection. Download a copy of Working Together Volume 2 here. Click here for the flow chart which shows you a summary of the process of case practice reviews along with guides and role profiles for panel members.

Just stand over here while I scratch these runes around you. If a Netflix show and years of people going on about it have finally convinced you to consider giving The Witcher a go, good news: to celebrate the fifth birthday of The Witcher 3, the whole series is on sale.
The announcement is short and light on detail but is aptly timed to suggest new Witcher-related projects are in the works at the Polish games studio.
It's best not to count a vampire out, but this launched yesterday already, so the Count is definitely out.
Today's expansion, The Crimson Curse is the first major card expansion the game has seen since its open beta debut in , a long time for a CCG….
Also, a prominent moth motif, because those winged wretches can be just as ominous as the teeth and claws everywhere else. Vampires, werewolves, blood moons and all other things best suited to a Belmont than a Witcher will be the first focus of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game's first card expansion.
I never would have dreamt that the compelling but much-joked-about card game in The Witcher 3 would become a single-player RPG, but Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is a reminder that anything is possible when you believe in the heart of the cards.
Released today and exclusive to GOG, Thronebreaker is a major spinoff set in the world of The Witcher, using the supposedly-dwarven card game….
Thronebreaker has been taking me for a ride. Thanks to the existence of the Well-rested bonus, you need to win 10 rounds per day for this, which should take approx games, so about 1.
If you want to take two days off, you can easily make it. Winning 14 rounds a day, about games for 5 days a week, resulting in about 2-hours-long sessions.
If grinding doesn't scare you and you don't have time on weekdays, you can complete the minimum on weekends. The downside is that not all of your games will be within the Well-rested bonus.
You would need to play 55 rounds per day, games on both Saturday and Sunday, for a total of hours per day. For those who buy the Battle Pass, progression in Journey would be so much easier due to rewards for Geralt's quests.
These can grant another 60 crowns each week. This makes for a total of crowns, which requires you to gain only crowns by playing 78 crowns per week, about 11 crowns each day.
With the Well-rested bonus applied, you need about 6 rounds won daily, which is only 4 games - less than 1 hour of your precious time.
All the weekend players have to be aware that it would require winning 25 rounds on both Saturday and Sunday, so about 17 games, hours on both days.
For those of you who really want the trinkets immediately, or lack time over the next 3 months and don't want to miss out on the Journey, there is an option to skip 25 levels it basically means buying crowns with money.
You still need to win exactly 2 rounds every day, so play 1 or 2 games in less than half an hour. If you don't have time for regular logins, you can jam 14 won rounds on any day of the week, playing about 9 games every week.
NOTE: You will probably need to spend most of that time on finishing weekly quests, as the number of games needed in this model is so low that we cannot omit them in time calculations.
If you finish the tasks and still play some ladder, you will most likely manage to finish your Journey just before 12 weeks.
Many people have accused CDPR of forcing a "pay-to-progress" policy by changing the previous progression system into the Journey one. First of all, the old system will come back for everyone who finishes the Journey or when the time is up.
Secondly, you can only compare the time you need to finish the Journey depending on the way you play with the same time frame for the old system. The most common argument was that there are fewer reward points to be gathered throughout the Journey completion than it was possible during the old times.
This is true in some cases, but only when specific conditions are met. Most of the time, Journey is more generous in terms of reward points.
You miss out on the so-called lesser daily rewards 15 units of ore, scraps or meteorite powder but you are compensated with a lot of new trinkets.
You can find a detailed comparison of the two systems in the following accordion. The table above shows the comparison of the new and old progression systems for each of the four old daily milestones most of us got used to.
Go questing in the solo campaign, which features the "choice and consequence" mechanic of the Witcher series.
